-
Notice: Any communication from the IRS or State—be it written, over the phone, or electronic—indicating a query about your return is considered a Notice. But don’t worry; we’re here to help!
-
Tax Identity Theft: If you ever receive a written communication from the IRS stating that it can't process your return because another has been filed in your name without your knowledge, this is classified as Tax Identity Theft. We’ve got your back against this threat!
-
Acceptance Date: This is the moment your Audit Protection Plan kicks in, ensuring you’re covered when you need it.
-
Statute of Limitations: This refers to the timeframe during which the IRS or State can audit your return—typically three years from filing for the IRS and about four years for States. Our coverage efficiently runs from the Acceptance Date until this period ends, protecting you all the way!
-
Refund/Rescission Period: Enjoy a hassle-free thirty (30) days from your initial purchase to cancel for a full refund! After this period, your plan is in full effect, giving you access to our exclusive audit protection services. Please note that after the Refund/Rescission Period, the amount you have invested in your plan is considered fully earned and non-refundable. You deserve this peace of mind!
-
Items Needed: To ensure we represent you effectively in case of a Notice, we’ll need a couple of items from you: i) the IRS or State Notice; and ii) a completed and signed IRS Form 2848 (Power of Attorney) and/or IRS Form 8821 (Tax Information Authorization).
